Anyone can watch and decide whether documentary is relevant, timely, informative, thought-provoking. It's quite different with movies.
Although we may not always agree with the topic of the movie and how it's presented to viewers, still, we can judge it by how well actors appear to embody their roles, how well the topic is presented from the human angle, whether the movie is tugging on some or other string of our hearts. And that we can do even if we don't possess movie critic diplomas.
Fulfilling my promise, we are delivering you what we think are the best 10 Asian dyke movies. Our library has them all except for Memento Mori.
1. Spider Lilies (2007)

A movie by the Taiwanese dyke director. Absolutely astonishing visuals, although the other girl is too noisy and can get on people's nerves with her screeching sweetness. Here is the trailer.
2. Drifting Flowers (2008)

Another movie by the aforementioned dyke movie guru from Taiwan. Loved this one, was very touched at some parts of the movie. A friend of mine from Taiwan told me years ago that LGBT people are absolutely open and cool in Taiwan because one of the Presidents' daughters was a butch dyke. Here is the trailer.
3. The Journey (2004)

The second lesbian-themed, the first real lesbian movie from India. Kerala's female teen suicides are very high. Kerala's literacy, education and healthcare are far ahead of most of the Indian states owing mostly due to its socialist governments. The message of the movie: let people be, or they will kill themselves. In a nutshell. Here is the trailer.
4. Saving Face (2005)

Had to include this very cute Asian-American dyke love story. No trailer available.
5. Candy Rain (2008)

Another Taiwanese dyke movie composed of various segments, all depicting one search by many, one answer sought by all. Yeah, another point I love about Taiwanese and Korean movies is that there is no pathologisation of homosexuality in them, so women already know and accept who and what they are. As opposed to most Western movies where 90 percent of the movie action is around how the girls finds out herself to be a lesbian, and how she comes out. The rest is usually given onyly 10 percent. Very boring. Here is the trailer.
6. Memento Mori (1999)

What happens when a vengeful lesbian comes back as a ghost to a school where she died? Find out from this cool Korean flick (that we still have not been able to lay our hands on, but it's supposed to be really good). Here is the trailer.
7. Moksori (2005)

Well, this one I watched and loved. Slow paced, but very suspenseful. A part of the Whispering Corridors series, same with the above. It's a horror, thriller flick, by the way. Here is the trailer.
8. Love my life (2006)

A cute love story movie based on same titled comics by Ebine Yamaji. Good for twenty-somethings. Two girls in uni fall in love, unravelling one thread by another till they get to the bottom - their love. Here is the trailer.
9. Nina's heavenly delights (2006)

Nothing can beat Indians talking Scottish English. A lovely love story. Here is the trailer.
10. Butterfly (2004)

Probably some people will like it. A movie about thirty-something teacher rediscovering her sexuality and meeting her one and only love after years. Here is the trailer.
